Lavender Blue Cheese Burgers with Radish Microgreens
Serves 4
These lavender blue cheese burgers and absolutely amazing! The lavender give a subtle floral note which contrasts perfectly with the blue cheese! When you top this burger with radish greens, which adds bit of spice, it all comes together beautifully! We were fortunate enough to have ground elk to use for our burgers, however I wrote the recipe using ground beef because it’s so much more accessible. Feel free to use whatever ground red meat you have on hand, you will not be disappointed!
Burger Ingredients:
1 1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 tsp Garlic powder
1/2 tsp Onion powder
1/2tsp Sea salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1/2 tsp Sesame seed oil
2 tsp Soy sauce
1/2 tsp Worcestershire
1/2 tsp dried Thyme
1/4 - 1/2 c Blue Cheese, to taste
2 tsp Fresh lavender, greens and flowers, chopped
Toppings:
Mayonnaise
Mustard
Tomatoes, sliced
Greens (I used beet greens but lettuce will work great too)
Radish microgreens
Directions:
Combine all of the burger ingredients together in a bowl. Separate mixture into 5 balls and form into patties. Cook burger patties to desired doneness over medium high heat.
To assemble burgers, spread the mayonnaise and mustard over the bun, lay down your greens then top with cooked burger. Place sliced tomatoes over the burger then add as much radish greens as desired! Place the bun on top and enjoy!
